Family guy, however, took this style and make a different comedic approach with it. When shows like The Flintstones do something such as a slapstick gag, they usually bring on the camera shake and show starburst effect underneath when they impact. MacFarlane make up this to be overplayed and didnt think it was som! ething that would actually make audiences laugh. The Simpsons would animate these gags at different speeds and give it more of a realistic befall to it. It is this that inspires Family Guy to take this type of approach to animation.
